About
Dr. Jie Zhu (pronounced as Jay Tsu) embarked on her professional journey as a senior scientist in the pharmaceutical industry, equipped with an academic background including a Ph.D. in Chemistry and an M.S. in Pharmaceutical Chemistry. However, her career took a significant turn when her son was diagnosed with asthma and ADHD. Determined to find a solution that went beyond symptom management through prescription medications, Jie delved deep into research, and eventually focused on the emerging field of functional nutrition.
Over the course of fifteen years, Jie's dedication and exploration led to the complete healing of her son's asthma, great improvement of ADHD, and her own health problems of panic attack, anxiety, and hypertension. During this transformative period, she pursued further education at the Maryland University of Integrative Health, interned at Maryland Psychiatic Research Center, and passed the board exam of Certified Nutrition Specialist (CNS®). Through her experience in functional nutrition, Jie has successfully treated a range of common chronic health problems, including asthma, prediabetes, depression, anxiety, ADHD, severe insomnia, hypertension, diabetes, high cholesterol, high LDL, overweight, acid reflux, back pain, dry mouth, dry eyes, hive, psoriasis, halitosis (bad breath), globus pharyngeus (the sensation of a lump in the throat or a feeling of a foreign object in the throat), and many more.
